We were honoured with the presence of Singh Sahib Gaini Gurbachan Singh ji, Head Granthi from Sri Harminder Sahib, Amritsar. Giani ji address the Sangat with Gurbani discourse.

On 9th November Friday, Bandi Chod Divas (Diwali) was celebrated with great exuberance and merriment, the rain and cold evening could not dampen the joyous spirit of the Sangat and the Sevadars. A candle displays were arranged and luckily we get a dry spell for half-an-hour for the wonderful display of fireworks. It was wonderful to see the constant flow of Sadh Sangat from 7.00 p.m. till late.

On 18th November a coach and a milk stand was arranged by the committee members to participate in the ‘Nagar Kirtan’. Despite being cold and wet, committee members and Gurdwara Sangat walked the full route of the ’Nagar Kirtan’ in front the coach under the supervision of Bhai Bhagwant Singh, Kulbir Singh Ghai, Raj Singh Narula, Rajinder Singh Bakshi and other committee members.

And from the Milk stand in Green Mead, committee members, their families and Sangat members served the hot milk with almond (Badama wala doodh) to the ’Nagar Kirtan Sangat’ all day long under the supervision of Jagjit Singh Oberoi, Jaspal Singh Anand and Gurpreet Singh Anand, Jasvinder Singh Alg.

With Sangat’s wholehearted support, Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji’s Parkash Utsav was celebrated at the Gurdwara on Saturday 24th and 25th Sunday evening with candles and fireworks, which was enjoyed by all specially the youngsters. Flow of Sangat on these two evening was tremendous.

On 31st December, we will be welcoming the New Year at the Gurdwara Sahib by listening to Shabad Kirtan by famous Keertini Jathas from 7.00 p.m. onwards and will have first Ardas in New Year at 00.05 a.m. 2008.

May Vaheguru Bless us all with wisdom to seek the right path from Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
